All of us have ideas — ideas that must be heard, the ideas that can improve our lives and perhaps even millions of others. But how often do we act on turning those ideas into a reality? Well, most good ideas don’t go beyond those initial creative thoughts in our mind, literally, and other times we feel like we lack a platform to build out our idea or showcase it.

If you’re a professional, aspiring developer working in the field of application development, databases, graphs, artificial intelligence (AI), full-stack or just someone who is passionate about technology, Neo4j is excited to offer you an opportunity to transform your most creative ideas into reality using Neo4j Graph Database and Neo4j GraphQL Library

Register now for Leonhard Euler Idea Contest, and stand a chance to win big and get your idea heard by the entire world, literally, as the winning project will be featured in NODES 2021- an online developer expo and summit attended by close to 13K developers across the globe. Check out the rules, terms and conditions of the idea contest and then dive right in!

Did you know?

  • Two of the previous winning teams did not have extensive Neo4j and or GraphQL experience

  • Ideas have higher weighting than killer developer skills. We love stuff like 'graphs for good', 'improving the graph community', 'apps that benefit many people', etc.

  • This idea contest is a great opportunity to learn all about graph databases, GraphQL, and building modern applications.

Eligibility

Eligibility:

Everyone's welcome to participate in Leonhard Euler Idea Contest!

Contest Rules:

It’s simple.  To participate in the Leonhard Euler Idea Contest, submit your or your team’s breakthrough idea or solution built using Neo4j GraphQL Library (mandatory), and better if you use GRANDstack (Neo4j GraphQL Library, React, Apollo, Neo4j Database). Entrants and contest submissions may be featured at the NODES 2021 Developer Summit.  All entries must be submitted by June 4, 2021 to be eligible for consideration.  Contest entrants must submit working application code on GitHub for review by the judges, a demo application (if available) and a short video (~2 minutes) that highlights the coolness of the idea.

Requirements

To qualify for the competition, individuals or teams are required to submit:

  • A working application code on GitHub for judges to check the quality of code (MUST use the Neo4j GraphQL Library)
  • A video of the idea, code walkthrough on YouTube or Vimeo that shouldn’t be more than two minutes long as a pitch for the competition showcasing the idea.
  • Demo Application (if that exists)

We encourage you to register early, so that you can begin to plan and build out your solution and turn in the rest of your materials on time. We are looking for solutions across the whole spectrum of use cases — to be inspired, take a look at some of the examples at GRANDstack here and here (the podcast app).
